Full Skirt + Body Suit

I wouldn’t necessarily describe myself as a “girly girl” or my style as super feminine, but when I saw this full skirt floating on a four-way rack at Forever 21, I think I said “you’re MINE” outloud. Kidding, but I was immediately drawn towards it. I was drawn towards the pale yellow color and the botanical print. But mostly, I was drawn towards its billowy, and almost architectural, shape. And did I mention it’s under $23?!

Knowing that I had to find a way to tone down the girliness of this skirt (it could get real Bree from Desperate Housewives real quick- wow, doesn’t that reference seem so old now?), I paired it with this tomato-red ribbed body suit from Urban Outfitters and my favorite Alexander Wang pumps (they’re from last season, but here is a similar pair that I’ve been eyeing for Fall). To finish off the look, I wore my favorite pair of Ray Bans, lots of silver bangles, and this awesome vinyl purse I got from the Zara sale!
