Hardwood Floors : Nordic Lights

We talked about flooring a few days ago, and I wanted to share some of my inspiration pictures with you guys. Where am I in the process? I haven’t officially selected flooring yet, and it’s actually been pretty difficult to find the type of wood that will achieve the look I’m going for.

One thing is for certain- I’ve decided upon either engineered hardwood or pre-finished solid wood floors.

You get the idea, right? I’m going for light light light.

So why does my post title say Nordic? Because the Norwegians are all about light. With over 60 days of pure darkness each year, they welcome light in all shapes and forms. Actual light, yes, but also the appearance of light, which can often be achieved through color (or in this case, a lack there of).
