Bump Style: The Drawstring Sweater

Bump Style: The Drawstring Sweater

Happy #bumpday, everyone! We just got an H&M here in OKC, so I went by to check it out and immediately gravitated toward this cowl-neck drawstring sweater for several reasons: one, I’m a sucker for a good cowl-neck (they’re cozy, and great for layering with- what’s not to love?); and two, the drawstring waist had me thinking about my belly. Knowing that I could tighten and loosen the drawstring to accommodate my ever-growing belly means one thing: longevity in my closet- it will be something I can wear for the next 10 weeks of pregnancy, and post-pregnancy, as well!

I styled the sweater with these plum Paige maternity coated skinny jeans, which come in a non-maternity version, too. And to finish off the look, I paired it with these low-heel Jeffrey Campbell pointy-toe suede pumps. Even though I’m short, and you might assume that I favor stilettos, I discovered a few years ago that my body couldn’t take much heel height- so 3″ is usually as high as I go (my knees and ankles thank me all the time). And let me tell you, these puppies are comfortable! They have padding in the toe box, and zip up the back, making them super easy to slip on and off. I’m a fan, can you tell? Plus, I wore them all summer (and now into winter), so talk about versatile.
