Yesterday, I was forced out of my house for the first time since giving birth. And though I was only going to the dentist for a root canal, I decided the occasion warranted my getting a little dressed up (and by dressed up, I mean not wearing pajamas all day, because that is exactly what I’ve been doing every.damn.day for the past three weeks). And let me tell you, it felt so great to put on a pair of earrings, some mascara and heels.
Here’s what I’m wearing:
I started with the staples: this nursing-friendly tank from Target (I’ve been wearing it on repeat since being in the hospital because, while it limits my outfits, it does make nursing much easier). I bought it in three different colors. On top, a sharp crepe blazer from Nordstrom (last season, but I’ve linked to similar options below, like this one for $19.99).
On bottom, I’m wearing my favorite pair of Paige distressed denim (a little secret: I bought these shortly before I got pregnant, so I was only able to wear them once or twice. I spent most of my pregnancy looking forward to fitting into them again). I finished off the look with some taupe suede booties (similar here; options below) and these etched coin earrings from Forever 21. My Zara purse has sold out, but this Rebecca Minkoff is a near replica.
