The bandana-as-neckerchief has been a hot trend for the past two years, gracing both runway and streetstyle looks. But what about the idea expanding the neckerchief trend to include regular ‘ol scarves or pocket squares? Yes, they, too, can be worn around the neck similar to a bandana! All you need is a scarf or pocket square that is similar in size to a bandana square.
Case in point, this vintage Vera scarf I found at the Rose Bowl Flea a few years ago when we lived in L.A (here is a similar new version for $5.90!). To get the look, I held opposite ends of the scarf, twisted them a few times, wrapped it around my neck, and knotted it in the back. So simple! Then I paired it with this black gauzey swing dress that I bought on sale at Zara (its sold out, but I’ve linked to similar below- this one is my fave), and my favorite Barbara Bui laceup pumps for a sporty twist.
Swing Dress: Zara (sold out; similar here, more options below) // Scarf: Vintage Vera Neumann (same one here; red version here; new version here for $5.90) // Pumps: Barbara Bui // Sunglasses: Fossil last season (similar here and below)

Me encanta el vestido y los zapatos abotinados son maravillosos.
